Over the last two weeks the College has successfully held both swimming and athletics championships at the College. Both events saw increasing numbers of competitors and some outstanding results from the students. In the overall house competition Tararua won the swimming with Kaimanawa winning the athletics.
The swimming sports were held in warm weather and good performances have seen a strong team selected for the Wanganui Secondary Schools Intercollegiate Swimming on 21 March.
Last Thursday the annual athletics sports took place in fine weather and the all events were very competitive. The highlights of the day were the efforts of sprinters Harris Talaumi and Joshua Keyes-Kumaroa, both boys were very close to breaking College records in their events. Once again the College will have a strong team in the Wanganui and Manawatu Intercollegiate events next week.
